About
Calendar sync that respects your privacy
ZagCal exists to solve one annoying problem without creating a worse one: stop you being double-booked across all your calendars — without copying what's on them from one place to another.
The problem we kept hitting
Most of us live across more than one calendar: a work account, a side project, a personal one, maybe a second job. A meeting booked on one is invisible to the others, so the double-bookings pile up. The usual fix is a sync tool — but those copy your whole event across, spilling titles, guests, and notes from your work calendar into your personal one (and vice versa). You trade one problem for a privacy leak.
Our approach: one rule
ZagCal copies only the single thing that prevents a double-booking: that you're busy. When a meeting lands on one calendar, ZagCal mirrors it to the others as a generic "Busy" block — no title, no guests, no location. Your availability stays in sync everywhere; your event details never leave the calendar they live on.
There's exactly one exception, and it's yours to switch on: a per-sync full-detail mode (say, work → personal) that copies real titles between two of your own calendars. It's off by default and asks for confirmation first — the privacy-first default is always the starting point.
What we believe
- Privacy by design. The narrow, busy/free-only behavior isn't a setting we hope you find — it's how the product works out of the box.
- Least privilege. We ask providers for the minimum access needed for free/busy, encrypt every token at rest, and let you revoke access any time.
- You're in control. You choose which calendars sync, in which direction, and you can export or delete everything yourself, whenever you want.
- No surprises. We don't sell data, we don't show ads, and we don't see your payment card details — billing runs through Stripe.
Who it's for
Freelancers and consultants juggling client calendars, people with a day job and a side gig, teams that span multiple organizations, and anyone who wants a single honest view of when they're free — without handing their schedule around. When you're ready to share real availability, booking pages let people grab open slots without ever seeing what's behind them.
That's the whole idea: never double-booked, never overshared. Create a free account — no credit card — or read more about how we protect your data. Questions? We're at support@zagcal.com.
